Jersey Cottages, located in St John's Village—a 160-hectare multi-generational community in Howick, KZN—offers an intimate setting with no more than 40 one- and two-bedroom cottages. Here, you can live independently, safely, and comfortably for as long as possible in a brand-new cottage designed with discreet age-in-place features and luxuries.

The modern open-plan design features an open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area, a roofed verandah, and a carport with convenient 2sqm utility storage space.

Bedrooms are generously sized. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, under-tile heating, a basin, a toilet, and a heated towel rail.  There are ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom. The pet-friendly garden is landscaped and securely fenced.

For added peace of mind, exceptional care is available at the adjacent Care Centre that caters for both short-term needs and long-term support. Delicious midday meals can be ordered from or enjoyed at the Care Centre.

Safety is our top priority, with 24-hour security features that include a manned security control room and gatehouse, a panic button system, roving night guards, electrified perimeter fencing, and armed response shared with the nearby shopping centre.

Contrary to common misconception, the monthly levy for sectional title homes at St John's is not a double levy—it's a single levy divided into two components. One part of the levy is paid to the Home Owners Association as a contribution towards security, upkeep of roads, verges and common property. The other, paid to the Body Corporate, is based on the square meterage of the unit and is a contribution towards the cutting of the grass, building insurance and exterior maintenance of the unit.

Monthly levies exclude Municipal rates, utilities, water, electricity, maintenance of the interior of the property, and the insurance of one's personal property.   Each unit has its own electricity meter and water meter, read by the Estate and invoiced by our managing agents, Cenprop (Pty) Limited. Municipal rates are paid directly to the uMngeni Municipality from the date of transfer.
